I’ve been training with Rowan for over 11 years, and the benefits have been life-changing. Having more muscle mass, strength, and flexibility has enabled me to stay active and significantly reduce my risk of injuries, especially as I get older (mid-60s). Regular exercise has also been a great support for my mental health and stress management.
Exercising used to feel like a chore—something I forced myself to do because I knew it was good for me. Now, it’s something I genuinely look forward to. Training with Rowan, along with swimming, rowing, and walking, makes me feel amazing, and I notice a real difference if I miss a session. Staying fit and healthy is my priority as I age because I don’t want age to become a barrier to enjoying the things I love. Being in good physical shape also helped me recover much better from a serious illness and surgery.
Rowan adapts my training to my needs and abilities, especially when dealing with injuries. For example, I recently had a shoulder and neck issue, but it didn’t stop me from exercising—Rowan found safe and effective alternatives. He’s never pushy but knows how to encourage me to keep going, and his personalized approach is why I’ve stuck with him for over a decade.
At Wellness on William, the atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. It’s a small studio with a real sense of community where you’re never judged. Recently, I joined their 10-week challenge and even outperformed many younger participants!
For anyone nervous about starting something new, I’d say give it a try. You’ll be surprised by how much you can achieve and how good it makes you feel.
