Building Strength and Avoiding Surgery

Before I started at The Wellness Studio, I knew I wasn’t really pushing myself enough when exercising. I’ve always loved walking and prefer to get around without a car, but I rarely had the chance to go hiking or do anything more challenging.

As I’ve aged, my body has become more restricted — scoliosis, past injuries, and degenerative hip issues all contributed to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. Everyday things I used to manage easily were starting to feel harder, and I was even facing the possibility of needing a hip replacement.

Working with Rowan has made a huge difference. His training program has helped me stave off surgery, ease my back discomfort, and improve my mobility. On top of that, I’ve built much-needed upper body strength, which has made daily life feel easier and more enjoyable.

Perhaps most importantly, I’ve been able to lock in a routine. For the first time, sticking to exercise feels natural and achievable — something I had struggled with on my own before.
