In just over two years and three months, my fitness journey has transformed both my body and mindset. Despite shedding 22 kgs on the scales, the true metamorphosis lies in the inches lost and the clothing sizes dropped. From a 34 to a 30 waist, and large to a small T-shirt, my body measurements have witnessed significant changes, with 14cm off the chest, 11cm off the waist, 8cm off the thigh, and 3cm off the arm.
Prior to this, exercise was sporadic, interrupted by COVID and family challenges. However, upon joining the gym, I embraced various forms of exercise—personal training, running, walking, and swimming. Motivated by weight loss, overall health, reducing medication, and seeking a sense of well-being and challenge, my journey was guided by a dedicated trainer.
The trainer played a pivotal role, instilling accountability, providing tools for success, and offering guidance on diet and independent training. The constant challenges pushed my limits and yielded remarkable results. Moving forward, the focus is on maintaining and refining achievements.
For those contemplating a fitness journey, my advice is to do it for yourself. Start small, set realistic expectations, and understand that slow progress is sustainable in the long run. Align your lifestyle with your goals, forgive occasional setbacks, and maintain a forward-moving mindset.
